Meeting: Development in R&D of infrared laser source
On August 15th, 2019, a meeting on development in infrared laser source was held at the East Building of the Department of Chemistry, School of Science, the University of Tokyo. Visit to HiLASE and ELI Beamlines(Czech Republic)
Members of Consortium for Attosecond Laser Science and Technology (COAST) visited two laser facilities in the Czech Republic between February 13th and 16th, 2019. First, they payed a visit to HiLASE center, and Dr. Antonio Lucianetti (Research Program Leader) kindly introduced and showed them around the facility. We discussed the development of high power laser amplifiers and possible co-operation with HiLASE center in future. MEXT Q-LEAP Next Generation Laser Has Started
Researchers that are participating in Attosecond Laser Facility (ALFA) were selected to be a part of MEXT Quantum Leap (Q-LEAP) Flagship Program in Next Generation Laser division. As part of this program, they undertake research in attosecond lasers for next frontiers in science and technology (ATTO). The 1st ALFA Symposium Was Held
The 1st ALFA Symposium was held on December 9th, 2017, in the Auditorium of the Department of Chemistry, School of Science, The University of Tokyo (Hongo Campus). Visit to Elettra-Sincrotrone (Italy)

Grand Opening Ceremony of the ELI-ALPS (Hungary)
On May 23rd, 2017, members of Consortium for Attosecond Laser Science and Technology (COAST) travelled  to Szeged, Hungary to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of the ELI-ALPS (Extreme Light Infrastructure – Attosecond Light Pulse Source) building complex. Members attended a tour of the facility and a talk by Prof. Ferenc Krausz (Director of the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics).
